A very important study was just published regarding multivitamin and mineral use in "older" women with invasive breast cancer.

The vitamin users had a 30 percent REDUCTION in mortality compared to non-vitamin users. Over 7700 post menopausal women all diagnosed with breast cancer between the ages of 50-79 were followed for 7 years.

These were individuals part of the WHI (Women's Health Initiative) which in previous years has demonstrated the risks associated with long term hormone replacement therapy and changed all of our prescribing practices.

I believe because they do not understand what goes on with nutrients at the cellular level.
